Automobile Security System Poster

Hi Folks,

Recently came across a poster which i designed 3 years earlier. The poster of my first University Project. The project titled Automobile Security System (i agree.. boring title  ).

Again a fantastic video, Birth of a book.

Awesome Documentary.

Just Watch and admire.

In the XSLT List View i tried to add an additional column which holds hyperlinks to display item page. But i don’t have any idea how to pass the ID with the display item page url like below

http://localhost:42890/SampleTeamSite/Lists/TimeSheets/DispForm.aspx?ID=5

But after couple of Google searches i got the solution and here it is.

http://raathi-server:42890/SampleTeamSite/Lists/TimeSheets/DispForm.aspx?ID={$thisNode/@ID}

Using XSLT , ID value will be passed dynamically.

Cool Right ?

Expression Blend Team release a new update on expression blend for silverlight 5. The older version expired on 31th March 2011. The new updated expression blend preview is available from the expression blog and it’s expiration date extended up to  June 30, 2013.

Just started to develop on SharePoint 2010 and so will be sharing  the issues and solutions i encountered while getting started.

So here we go with the first one

Problem

Getting an error message saying ”cound not save list changes to the server” in share point designer when trying to create a new form.

Solution

Go and look for any broken look up fields in you list.

Well… What the hell again a new blank site ??? Yep. The old one got messed up with malware content (mostly from a free theme). This is totally new host & site Let’s see how this goes. Oh yea geeky posts are following. Come back soooon………..
